Is time feeling of elephant and mouse different?
Elephant is much bigger than mouse. So, the
recognition of the same thing differs between both animals. A flat road for an
elephant can be a bumpy road for a mouse. Furthermore, the author says that if
they experience same time, but the time span they feel is can be different. There
are two reasons.
1. The more weight of a mammal, the slower their
beat of the heart and the lower the breathing frequency. So the larger the
animal, the less dull the activity itself.
2. In mammals, all animals beat their heart about 2 billion times in their life time.
Although their lifespan is different, each mammals’
feeling lifetime might be same.
Is there a limit on the number of heartbeat ?
This book doesn’t say there is a limit of heart
beating times. It only says that mammals die on about 2 billion times heart
beating. The cause of death includes predation or disease etc. 2 billion times when
the heart beats, human beings are about 50 years old. (Calculated heart beating
frequency: 80/min) The average lifetime of modern Japanese people exceeds 80
years old.
I think we should carefully live added life
time span (30 years) that human beings grabbed themselves due to the
development of medicine, improvement of hygiene environment, change of diet and
so on.
The book I introduced this time is a good
book that we can understand without science knowledge. This book is written about
not only mammals but also insects and etc.
